HORSE play

Don't put me up against Scotty Nguyen in a game of HORSE.

Not basketball -- the World Series of Poker version.

He won $2 million today. I'd need to take my 1960's-era paperback copy of Hoyle's Rules of Games, and follow it for at least a day. Beyond Texas Hold 'em, it's all a suburb of Omaha.

I personally enjoy H.O.R.S.E as a change of pace from No Limit HOld'em.

I have branched out into omaha & the other poker genre's to try to better my skill at those forms of the game. I enjoy playing in free H.O.R.S.E tourneys many sites offer them. It definitely takes a LOT more skill to win these than just a straight out holdem tourney.

There is no ALL IN and it takes good bankroll management to make it thru to rounds of games you might not be best at. It challenges you as a player to learn more & become a more rounded player.

No real point or question here ... just elaborating my point of view on HORSE. I think Scotty Nguyen is a great player & a character to boot. I pray he can get a handle on that drinking problem though seems he always has a beer or drink in his hand during a game.

There are plenty of hands when I wish the dealer suddenly would call out, "Lowball!!!"
