Our longtime neighborhood poker spot made the front page of the local newspaper today -- for a bad reason.
The manager of Lil Kim's Cove was arrested by police. From what we can tell, it had nothing to do with the Thursday night poker tournaments. The bar has a modified slot machine tucked away near the back door. Police claim the manager paid cash and gift card rewards to players.
We never touched that "gaming machine." We've gone to Lil Kim's Cove to play in free tournaments, and nothing more. But after reading of this arrest, we're wondering.... should we keep going there? Even though it's only a short walk from where we live?
